Why we care?

According to Goal 16 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), "⅓ of the World's population MOSTLY WOMEN fear walking alone in their neighbourhoods at night." We are particularly interested in this issue as it also intersects with the 5th goal of gender equality. Through our project, we hope to leverage our skills to promote a more stable society and empower all women and girls.

2. Setup helper preferences
3. Voice Setup

Connect with helper

1. Connect the user with a helper in real time
2. Show the helper’s information
3. A signal word to inform authorities in emergency
4. Rate the helper and add helper to favorite after the call

1. Call the helper from the user’s favorite list

Ideation

We envisioned a safe travelling experience for Jessica

User Flow

First, we created our scenarios based on the personas we developed. Then, we outlined the user journey as a fundamental outline of the app's intended flow. This map clearly displayed the basic functions and pain points that we needed to address.

Design and Iteration

Wireframes

To visualize the ideas of features, we created low-fidelity wireframes of the main interfaces.

Iterations

Overall, we conducted three rounds of usability testing. The first round involved testing the wireframe on our phones to evaluate the user flows and information architecture. We used the feedback from this round to refine the user flow and layout of the design.

WithHer is an app that aims to provide a safe network and positive environment to protect females from potential dangers on their way home and promote the act of kindness in the community.
